STAC is a contemporary, sustainable artist based in Long Beach, California, whose creative journey spans over a quarter of a century. His artistic evolution began just before the turn of the century with his iconic Original Martini Girl, painted on raw burlap. This early experimentation with burlap’s rich, tactile texture sparked a lifelong awareness of materials—instilling a passion for the use, re-use, and upcycling of found elements that remains a hallmark of his practice today.

Deeply committed to eco-conscious creation, STAC’s work bridges the gap between fine art and sustainability. Over the years, his hands-on philosophy has extended to refinishing furniture and rescuing discarded frames, which he meticulously restores to house original canvases crafted from unique, upcycled fabrics.

STAC's early exhibition history is rooted in the local community. He first shared his work publicly during a featured exhibition at the Zyzzyx Cafe in 2008, followed by a showcase at Hot Topic in Long Beach—a retail gift store on Broadway—in 2010. Following these early presentations, he quietly spent the next two decades building an extensive, deeply personal body of work.
